Baby Shower

Our dessert table

I know I've been MIA and I really wanted to share the finished baby shower pictures.  I was really happy how it turned out and even though it was stressful, I wanted everything to be perfect for my best friend!

This was the table when you first walk in with our "guest book" (Cinderella book)

Gift table
One of the tables
Another table
And another...there was one more but I didn't get a picture of that one before guests arrived
We went ahead and wrote everyone's name so they didn't have to do it!  I'm obsessed with mason jars.  I am using these now for craft storage!
Becky made these amazing cake pops, they look expensive and they were delicious!
We did PB&J's because that's what our Mommy to be has been craving!
This was one place setting and I knew I would rather spend time with my bestie and her family than take hours cleaning up.  So I used the nice clear plastic plates and I used contact/shelving paper for the center to make it special and colorful.  I also used the plastic forks that look real.  I was on a mission to have easy clean up, and what's easier than throwing it all away?!

This was a set of paper mache boxes I had around the house that I had never used.  So I covered the middle one with the same contact/shelving paper (I found it at Michaels) that I used on the plates.  And the other two I used wrapping paper (that I also found at Michaels).  I tell you I was on the hunt for anything in my color scheme and anything shabby chic!

It's not a party without pigs in a blanket!  I used clothes pins as the holders and I just printed the food names out on scrapbook paper.  I got the scalloped edges by using edging scissors (also from Michaels :))  I spray painted the clothes pins with Krylon Glitter Blast Glitter Spray.  I am in love with this stuff.  I used it on several things!

I sprayed the bird to the left.  It was ceramic and like a green color but I like it silver way better!

Chocolate covered oreos!  These were great too! I got the platter/cake stand from Home Goods and they were so cheap!  It actually came with black ribbon but I figured I could change it out for whatever I wanted to.  The possibilities are endless.

Peanut butter rice krispies

Another spray painted bird!  And those candle holders in the back were a steal from Marshalls!  I love them so much.  My husband wants to drink out of them, even though they are pink. LOL

Here's our hairbow advise tree.  I got the branches from Hobby Lobby and sprayed them silver.  This was one of the best ideas I found online and everyone loved it.
I got the "lace" table cloths from Ross and they weren't really lace.  They were vinyl!  I do not like plastic or vinyl tablecloths but I was so impressed by how real these looked and they were really cheap too.  I was on a tight budget for this shower and even though my husband would disagree, I think I did everything within a reasonable amount.

I did so much research for this baby shower and found so many great ideas off blogs that it inspired me to start my own.  I don't know the next time I'll get to throw another shower but I definitely think sharing ideas is important for inspiring someone else.  So I hope you are inspired or at least get some great ideas for your next shower or party.

Jusqu'à la prochaine fois
XOXO
Heather
